This can be beneficial to other community members reading the thread. I have spent a whole day trying to make an installation disc from an image disc for windows 7 - and I have n ow got four copies of the image file from various image burn software makers and they are all the same as the original. I have tried image burn /iso maker/windows burn / and I am totally fed up. A whole day is wasted and I still have got nowhere. The instructions in these programmes vary so much and are so confusing- why can't they just burn me one bootable installation disc for which we have paid good money?
I have wasted all my dvd writable discs- and I have no idea what to do next. Can anyone provide simple straight forward instructions that actually appear in the programme. I have plugged in an external writer to my laptop which has an internal writer. I tried the disc with image on both way round in case one dvd writer did not like being a reader- that confuses even more because I am not sure any longer which is source and destination- twice have I written blank dvds at great length of time because I must have got the source wrong in imgburn. I am at the stage where I would throw the whole lot out the window and never see another computer as long as I live!
